Journal of Energy and Power Technology (JEPT) is an international peer-reviewed Open Access journal published quarterly online by LIDSEN Publishing Inc. This periodical is dedicated to providing a unique, peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary platform for researchers, scientists and engineers in academia, research institutions, government agencies and industry. Solar Thermal Energy

Solar Thermal Energy is one of the most popular renewable technologies, enjoying a deep theoretical background dating from the fifties of the last century or even before. The great quantity of research documents published each year in this field reflects the interest, evolution and strength of this topic.

Today, thermal solar energy holds a consolidated place in the field of hot water production for domestic purposes and for sanitary and sports facilities, but still has great potential for industrial application.

Solar thermoelectric plants provide very efficient energy storage, which makes an interesting alternative to other renewable energies for ensuring electricity supplies during the night or adverse meteorological conditions.

All in all, not only can Solar Thermal Energy be thought of as the present but also as part of the future in Energy Transition.
